Spin the team wheels

Team Decision Wheels holds two wheels for a team meeting. The Wheel of Fortune awards credits to the person you pick. The Wheel of Misfortune lands on a challenge and awards nothing.

Only managers and admins can open it. It’s Spin the wheel, under Social in the left rail. Anyone else who follows the link lands back on the Log page.

Award credits with the Wheel of Fortune

To spin for somebody:

1. Open Spin the wheel.
2. Press Start Spinning on the Wheel of Fortune card.
3. Open the picker beside Award credits to: and choose the person.
4. Press SPIN in the middle of the wheel.

SPIN stays greyed out until a name is picked. The wheel turns for 4 seconds, then Credits Awarded! names the winner, the credits and their New balance.

The picker lists your agency. If you manage an agency, it lists every agency in your district. You’re on it as well, marked (You).

There are 8 prizes, from 3 credits to 24 in steps of 3, and the small ones come up far more often. 3 credits lands on nearly 3 spins in 10, and 24 credits on about 1 in 40. A spin averages just under 9 credits.

The prize goes into the person’s flexi credits balance. Their ledger records it with the reason Wheel of Fortune: +6 credits, or whatever the wheel landed on.

Who the prize reaches

The award passes the same check as a top-up by hand. It needs the app owner, or an account whose profile role is admin or staff, in the winner’s district.

For anybody else the wheel still spins and the spin is still recorded, but the balance doesn’t move. Couldn't award that prize appears, and the result card has no New balance line.

Caution

A spin that failed to award still shows in Spin History and still counts in the analytics. Check the winner’s balance before you announce the prize.

Hand out a challenge with the Wheel of Misfortune

To spin for a challenge:

1. Press Back to Wheels if you’re on the other wheel.
2. Press Start Spinning on the Wheel of Misfortune card.
3. Press SPIN.

The page heading reads Accountability Wheel. There’s no name to pick, so the wheel is ready at once. The card that follows shows Your Challenge! and the challenge, and Challenge Accepted! closes it.

The 8 challenges are 6AM Reflection, Double Spin, Oops Jar, Extra Dials, Buy Drinks, 3KM Fun Run, Public Confession and Team Lunch. Team Lunch comes up most, about 1 spin in 5, and 3KM Fun Run least.

The wheel only names the challenge. Nothing is logged against anyone, so seeing it through is down to the room.

Look back at the spins

Each wheel keeps a Spin History card below it with the latest 50 spins: what the wheel landed on, how long ago, and the winner’s name on a Wheel of Fortune spin.

Spin Analytics (Last 7 Days) sits under the two cards on the first screen, and counts the Wheel of Fortune only. Credits Awarded, Total Spins and Team Members add up the week. Each day below opens to show who won how much, the biggest winner first, and the date button highlights one day.

FAQ

Can I change the prizes or the challenges?

No. A district admin sees a Wheel Config tab with segment editors, but its Save Changes doesn’t reach either wheel. Both keep the segments listed here.

Does a spin cost anything?

No. Neither wheel charges for a spin.

Can advisors see the wheels?

No. An advisor’s rail has no Spin the wheel row, and the page sends them back.

Somebody won, but their balance didn’t change. Why?

The spin came from an account that can’t move credits. Ask an admin to add the prize by hand. See Approve credit requests and adjust balances.
