Switch between light and dark

ActivityTracker starts in light mode. Dark mode is one switch away, in three places, and they all flip the same setting.

On a screen 768px or wider, the moon icon sits at the foot of the rail’s icon column, below the sections. Point at it and its label reads Dark mode. Press it and the whole app turns dark.

In dark mode the icon becomes a sun and the label reads Light mode, which is the way back.

This is the route on a phone.

To switch:

  1. Press your avatar in the top right, then My preferences at the foot of the sheet.
  2. Open Appearance.
  3. Flip the switch.

The row names the mode you’re in now: Light mode, or Dark mode once the switch is on.

Press ⌘K or Ctrl+K, type dark, and pick Toggle dark mode. A message confirms it with Dark mode on or Light mode on. On a phone, tap the magnifier in the header instead of the shortcut. See Search anything and run commands with Cmd-K.

Your choice is saved in the browser you made it in. A phone and a laptop each keep their own, and a second browser on the same laptop starts light again.

Dark mode works on top of an app theme. If you’ve unlocked a theme in Biscuit’s Themes tab, switching to dark keeps it, in its darker version.

Does it follow my phone’s dark mode setting?

No. The app starts light and changes only when you switch it.

I switched on my laptop. Why is my phone still light?

The setting belongs to each browser. Switch it on the phone as well.

Will dark mode remove the theme I bought?

No. The theme stays on, and dark mode gives it a darker look.
