Set up the rewards catalogue

The rewards catalogue is the list of prizes members can redeem for points. Each reward has a name, a price in points, a category and an availability label.

Reward catalogue sits under Manage, then Credits & rewards, in the left rail. It appears only when your district has the rewards module, and the ActivityTracker team switches that on. Without it, the page reads Rewards is not switched on.

Saving a change needs an account whose profile role is admin or staff.

Caution

The catalogue isn’t kept per district. Every district with rewards switched on reads the same list, so a reward you add, price or delete changes for all of them.

Add a reward

To add one:

1. Open Manage, then Reward catalogue.
2. Press Add Reward.
3. Fill in Name, Point Cost and Description. All of them are required.
4. Choose a Category and an Availability.
5. Pick an Icon and a Color.
6. Press Create.

Reward created successfully appears and the table re-sorts. It runs cheapest first, with Name, Category, Points, Availability, Status and Actions.

The form starts with Active on, Available chosen and the first category picked. Availability is Available, Limited or Coming Soon. It’s a label only, and none of the three stops anyone redeeming.

Color offers Blue, Green, Navy, Gold and Red. Leave it unpicked and the reward saves as blue.

The categories come from a fixed list. This tab can’t add one.

Change, copy, pause or delete one

The 4 buttons on each row are icons without words.

The eye pauses a reward. Its Status turns Inactive, and members stop being offered it. Press the eye again to bring it back.

The pencil opens Edit Reward, and Update saves your change.

The copy button opens the form filled in, with Copy of in front of the name. The title still reads Edit Reward and the button Update. Pressing it saves a new reward and leaves the original alone.

The bin opens Delete Reward, and Delete removes the reward.

Caution

Deleting a reward can’t be undone. Pause it with the eye instead if it might come back.

How members find a reward

Members see active rewards by asking the assistant, or by searching with Cmd-K, where each one shows its price in points. The assistant can put in a redemption for them.

FAQ

Why is there no Reward catalogue for me?

Your district doesn’t have the rewards module. See Why a page or tab is missing for you.

I pressed Create and got Failed to save reward. Why?

Your account can open the tab but can’t write to the catalogue. Saving needs a profile role of admin or staff.

Does Limited cap how many people can redeem?

No. None of the availability labels limits anything.

Where do I see what members have redeemed?

Not in the app. There’s no screen that lists redemptions.
