View an advisor's Contacts or Inbox on their behalf

A district admin can open any advisor’s Contacts or Inbox in the district, and work in it. A picker on each page chooses whose it is.

This needs an account whose profile role is admin. Agency managers and staff accounts only ever get their own.

To open an advisor’s book:

  1. Open Contacts, under CRM in the left rail.
  2. Open the picker beside the Contacts heading. It reads Mine to start.
  3. Choose the advisor.

An amber line under the heading then names whose CRM you’re in, and says anything you change is theirs. Their tables, views and filters open, and the page starts fresh each time you switch.

Choose Mine to go back to your own book.

The picker sits in the page heading, which is drawn on screens 1024px wide and up.

An advisor who has never opened their CRM has no book yet. The page says so, and their contacts appear the first time they use it.

To open an advisor’s business:

  1. Open Inbox, under CRM in the left rail.
  2. Open the business picker at the top of the page.
  3. Choose a business under Other advisors.

The picker lists every business in the district. Yours sit under Yours, and a colleague’s row carries their name after the business name. The dot on a row is the state of that number, and Check opens the number without switching to it.

An amber line then says you’re looking at their leads, and that anything you send goes out under their name. On a phone it folds into one line above the conversations.

The picker isn’t drawn on Reports or District switches, which cover every business at once.

The address carries your choice as ?who=, so a link opens the same book or business for another admin. Somebody who isn’t allowed to open that advisor gets their own instead.

Why isn’t an advisor in the Contacts picker?

They belong to more than one district. A person in 2 districts shows up only after the ActivityTracker team has set which district holds their contacts.

Can I open someone’s Contacts on my phone?

Yes, from a link that carries ?who=. The picker itself is only in the wide-screen heading.

Can a manager do this for their own agency?

No. Only an admin profile gets the pickers. A manager has the coaching file instead. See Open an advisor’s coaching file.
