Keep a WhatsApp number from being restricted

WhatsApp restricts a number that writes to too many people who never wrote to it first. Number heat shows what each of your numbers sent, scores the day’s risk, and lists what each one is about to send, so you can ease off before WhatsApp does it for you.

You see the numbers your own sheets send from. A district admin sees every number in the district.

To open it:

  1. In the rail, open CRM.
  2. Press Number heat.

Each number gets a score for the day under Restriction risk. Messages to people who never wrote weigh most, then double texts and messages nobody answered.

  • Low is under 25. Nothing changes.
  • Watch starts at 25. For the rest of the day, first messages and broadcasts are held to half the number’s daily limit, or 20 when it has none.
  • High starts at 50. Every message the business starts is paused until the next day. Replies to people who write in still go.

The pause lifts itself the next day, Singapore time. But the day after a High, first messages and broadcasts still wait all day. The day after a Watch, they’re held to half the limit again. A quiet day clears it.

Switch to Last 7 days and the score is each number’s worst day that week.

Messages sent per number splits what went out by kind, for Today or the Last 7 days.

  • Cap used adds up the columns under Count toward the daily cap: first messages, nudges, and workflows and broadcasts. Today it reads as a share of the cap, like 0 of 60 in the picture above.
  • Replies never count toward the cap, whether an AI agent sent them, you typed them in the app, or you sent them from the phone.
  • Nudges, never replied is the column to watch. Follow-ups to leads who never wrote back are what get numbers restricted.

Coming up per number lists what each number is about to send, soonest first: queued messages, nudges, promised check-ins, re-engage messages, workflows and broadcasts.

Press a number to open its list, and press a name to open that conversation. A number that’s paused says so beside its name.

Heat alert tells the business’s Lark group the first time in a day that a number’s score reaches a level you set. It’s 20 to begin with, and it tells the group once a day per number.

Only a district admin can change the level, from 0 to 100. 0 turns the alert off.

A number whose business has no Lark group is named under the alert. Set the group in the Inbox, under Workflows → Handovers, the same group Tell the Team posts to.

Do replies count toward a number’s daily cap?

No. Only messages the business starts count: first messages, nudges, workflows and broadcasts.

Why can’t I see a colleague’s number?

You only see the numbers your own sheets send from. A district admin sees them all.

Does a High pause stop me answering a lead who writes in?

No. Replies to people who write in still go. What stops is everything the business starts, such as first messages and broadcasts.
