Turn texting, agents, rules or workflows off for the district
District switches is the last tab of Inbox. The four switches on it are the
stop for everything automatic in the district, whatever each business has set on
its own tabs.
Only district admins see this tab, so an advisor’s Inbox has six tabs rather
than seven. An advisor who needs one of these switched on has to ask you.
The page heading names the tab you’re on, so it reads District switches once
you’re here. The business picker isn’t drawn on this tab, because these switches
are every business at once.
What each switch covers
Section titled “What each switch covers”Texting covers the first message to new leads, a business line’s welcome
message, and anything queued to send. Workflows need it on as well. Switch it off
and none of that goes out from any number, though replies you type yourself and
broadcasts still send.
AI agents covers AI agents answering leads, and their follow-ups. Switched off,
no AI agent answers anybody on any number, however it’s set up.
Reply rules covers the automatic replies each business writes as reply rules.
Switched off, there are no rule replies on any number, and no business can switch
its own rules on.
Workflows covers what’s published on the Workflows tab. Switched off, nothing
published there runs, for any business.
A switch here is permission rather than a command. A business’s own switch, on its own tab, still has to be on before anything leaves that business’s number.
Turn one off
Section titled “Turn one off”To stop something for every business at once:
- Open
Inbox, thenDistrict switches. - Press the switch beside the one you want to stop.
- Read the dialog, which says what stops and what keeps going.
- Press
Turn off.
The dialog stays up with its buttons disabled until the change has saved, so a switch never looks changed before it is. The message that follows names how many businesses it covered.
What still sends while texting is off
Section titled “What still sends while texting is off”Switching Texting off is about new leads, so a conversation already under way is
still answered. Rule replies, scheduled follow-ups, workflow messages into
conversations already running, replies a person types in the inbox, and broadcasts
all keep sending.
Chase an unanswered lead
Section titled “Chase an unanswered lead”The same tab carries When nobody answers a lead, under the four switches. A lead
who writes back is announced once, and if that alert is missed the reply waits in
the inbox until somebody looks.
Switch it on and the advisor is reminded on WhatsApp after the wait you set, then
once more, then never again about that message. Remind after starts at 15
minutes and Once more after at 60, and the whole thing is off until you turn it
on, because it sends real WhatsApp messages to real advisors.
Can an advisor turn these back on themselves?
No. The tab isn’t drawn for anybody but a district admin, and the tabs that a switch is blocking say who to ask.
Does switching AI agents off delete anyone’s agent?
No. Published agents stay published and keep their instructions, numbers and knowledge. They answer nobody until the switch is back on. See Create and publish an AI agent.
An advisor says their agent is published but silent. What do I look at?
This tab first, then the business’s own tab. Both AI agents here and the agent’s
own published state have to be right before it answers a lead.
Why did switching one back on start nothing?
A switch here starts something only on the businesses whose own switch is already
on. Nothing on this tab reaches into a business and changes what that business has
set for itself. For the business end of Texting, see
Write the first message a new lead gets.
