Send gifts, cheer and nudge teammates

There are 3 small ways to reach a teammate without writing a message. A gift gives them coins. A cheer tells them you noticed. A nudge reminds them to log.

Gifts can’t be bought. You earn one when you log your first activity of the day, and one each time you finish a focus session of 15 minutes or more.

Each lands in your bag with a message saying so. The bag holds 5. With 5 in it, nothing new drops until you send one.

Your bag is at /tracker/gifts, under the heading Gifts. A house has a Gifts tab that opens the same bag.

To send a gift:

  1. Open Gifts.
  2. Press Send a gift beside your bag.
  3. Pick who it’s for.
  4. Add a note if you like.
  5. Press Send it.

You can send to anyone in your agency, and to anyone you follow. A note stops at 120 characters.

Note that you can send 5 gifts a day, and 1 to each person. The line at the top of the page counts how many sends you’ve used today and how full your bag is.

Sending costs you nothing. The coins are rolled when your teammate opens it.

A gift rings the recipient’s bell and their phone, if they allow notifications. It waits on their Gifts page with an Open button.

Opening it shows the coins inside and the sender’s note. Say thanks sends a heart back to the sender’s bell, and Share makes a picture card of the gift.

Out of every 20 gifts, on average 10 hold 5 coins, 7 hold 10 and 2 hold 20. The last 1 holds 5 coins and a Streak Shield, which covers a missed week on your streak. A gift never carries points.

Every gift opened between 2 people counts as an exchange. The count gives the pair a level, shown beside their name when you pick who to send to.

The levels are Teammate at 1 exchange, Partner at 5, Closer Duo at 15 and Ride-or-Die at 30.

Cheer and Nudge sit on a teammate’s profile page. A cheer tells them you sent their pet a cheer. A nudge rings their bell and tells them to log today’s activities.

To cheer or nudge someone:

  1. Open their profile, for example from View profile on their leaderboard card.
  2. Choose Privately or Publicly under the buttons.
  3. Press Cheer or Nudge.

Both always ring their bell in the app. The switch decides what happens on Telegram. It starts on Privately, which sends a direct message from their Telegram assistant, if they’ve connected one. Publicly posts in the smallest chat you both share instead.

To check that wording in the app, open the info mark beside the switch. The message that follows your press says whether Telegram carried it, or why not.

The member card on the leaderboard has a Cheer button too. That one rings their bell only.

Why is Send a gift greyed out?

You’ve used your 5 sends for today, or there’s nobody you can send to yet.

Can I send a gift to someone outside my agency?

Yes, if you follow them. See Follow people and invite friends.

I nudged someone in another district. Did it reach them?

In the app, yes. Telegram doesn’t carry pokes across districts, and the message after your press says so.

Does a gift help my teammate’s rank?

No. Gifts hold coins and now and then a Streak Shield, never points.
