Your team's week on one page
Update it once a week. Download the Excel or Word file, or copy it. In Excel, Change and On pace work themselves out, and so does the revenue a day you still need.

Seven sales dashboard examples, and the question each answers
A sales dashboard is a few numbers on one screen or page, so someone can see how sales are going at a glance. The ones that stay in use answer one question each. Copy the numbers from whichever row matches yours.
| Dashboard | The question it answers | The numbers on it |
|---|---|---|
| Rep | Is my week enough? | Calls, meetings booked, proposals and deals against this week's target |
| Sales manager | Who needs a hand this week? | Each rep's calls and meetings against target, deals quiet for 14 days, the team's month so far |
| Sales activity | Is the work happening? | Calls, conversations, meetings booked and follow-ups, by day and by rep |
| Pipeline | What will close this month, and what's stuck? | Open deals by stage, value and weighted value, deals with no next step |
| Leaderboard | Who's ahead, and who moved up? | Points for calls, meetings and deals, each rep's rank, the most improved |
| Monthly revenue | Will we hit the month? | Revenue closed against target, working days left, revenue a day needed |
| New rep | Is the new hire building the habit? | Calls, conversations and meetings a week against their own target, and calls per meeting by week |
If you run a team of three to ten reps, start with the sales manager dashboard. It shows you who to help. For the leaderboard row, use our leaderboard template.
Which numbers to put on it, and how to work them out
Put activity beside results. Calls, meetings and proposals are leading numbers, because they move first. Deals and revenue are lagging, because they arrive later. With both on the page, a slow month shows while the activity is still low.
| Number | How to work it out | Made-up example |
|---|---|---|
| Calls per meeting booked | Calls divided by meetings booked | 1,104 calls, 108 meetings: 10.2 |
| Meetings per proposal | Meetings held divided by proposals | 100 meetings, 40 proposals: 2.5 |
| Proposals per deal | Proposals divided by deals closed | 40 proposals, 16 deals: 2.5 |
| Average deal | Revenue closed divided by deals closed | S$164,000, 16 deals: S$10,250 |
| Revenue a day needed | What's left of the target divided by working days left | S$36,000, 3 days: S$12,000 |
How to build a sales dashboard in a sheet
- Write the question at the top.
- Pick five to eight numbers that answer it. If a number never changes what anyone does, take it off.
- Give each number a target, this week's figure and last week's.
- Add Change (this week minus last week) and On pace (at or above target, or behind).
- Set one person and one time to update it each week.
Four rules for a dashboard your team will look at
- Ask one question per dashboard.
- Put a target beside every number.
- Update it at the same time each week.
- Read it twice a week: once to set the week, and once while you can still change it.
A filled-in week: a team of six, two reps behind
The team and all its numbers are made up. It's the week of 21 September.
| Number | Target | This week | Last week | Change | On pace |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Calls | 300 | 276 | 251 | +25 | Behind |
| Conversations | 90 | 94 | 80 | +14 | Yes |
| Meetings booked | 30 | 27 | 24 | +3 | Behind |
| Meetings held | 24 | 25 | 22 | +3 | Yes |
| Proposals sent | 12 | 13 | 9 | +4 | Yes |
| Deals closed | 5 | 4 | 5 | -1 | Behind |
| Revenue closed | S$50,000 | S$41,500 | S$52,000 | -S$10,500 | Behind |
| Pipeline added | S$120,000 | S$134,000 | S$98,000 | +S$36,000 | Yes |
The month's target is S$200,000. Revenue closed this month is S$164,000, which leaves S$36,000. With 3 working days left, that's S$12,000 a day.
Siti is behind on activity with 38 of 60 calls, and Grace is behind on meetings with 2 of 5. The deal to help close is Priya's: Northgate Print, S$12,000.
Seeing the activity half without updating it
The sheet works, and someone has to remember to fill it. On most teams that's you, and the numbers are as old as your last update.
Palby Sales Tracker keeps the activity rows current, with no CRM to feed it. Reps log each call, meeting and close in one tap, and the board moves within seconds. The board runs this week, last week, this month, this year or any dates. Needs you today lists who has no entry for 3 days, then who's furthest behind their weekly goal, then who's trending down over 30 days. Analytics shows trends, who has gone quiet, late entries and the edit trail, and you can export the board, the feed and a performance summary to CSV. It counts activity, so revenue and pipeline rows stay on your sheet. See KPI dashboards.

An analytics dashboard shows numbers over time, so you can see what changed. Businesses use dashboards to spot what needs attention without reading a full report.
The five to eight numbers that answer one question, each with its target. For most teams that's calls, meetings, proposals, deals, revenue and pipeline added.
Start from one question, keep to five to eight numbers, put a target beside each, and keep the same layout each week. A plain table that's read beats a chart nobody opens.
The template on this page. It marks each number on pace or behind against its target, and works out the revenue a day you still need.
A dashboard is the numbers, read in a minute, and a report is the story behind them. Our [sales report template](/sales-tracker/templates/weekly-sales-report) covers what moved and what's stuck.
