The preview is the exact code you'll paste, so what you see is what your visitors get.
- 01Put in your number and the first message visitors will send, like "Hi, I'm on your website and have a question".
- 02Pick a plain button or a button with a small chat card, then the corner, the colour and the words.
- 03Copy the code and paste it just before </body> on your site, or into a custom HTML block.
Why it's plain HTML
Most chat widgets load a script from someone else's server. This one doesn't.
It loads nothing. The button and the card are HTML and CSS inside the code you paste, so your page stays as fast as it was.
It opens wa.me only. The button is a link to WhatsApp's own click to chat address, with your number and message in it.
The card opens without JavaScript. It uses the browser's own show and hide element, so it works even where scripts are blocked.
You own it. There's no account behind it, so the button keeps working whatever happens to this page.
Where to paste it
Any site that lets you add your own HTML takes it.
WordPress: add a Custom HTML block in the footer, or paste it before </body> in your theme.
Shopify: paste it before </body> in theme.liquid, under Edit code.
Wix and Squarespace: add it as custom code on all pages.
A plain HTML site: paste it just before the closing </body> tag.
When the button starts bringing in chats
The button gets the chat started. Palby AI Agent, which we make, answers it on your own number.
- It answers website enquiries in your words, from your price list and pages
- It asks your questions and fills in the contact card while it chats
- It books the good ones into your free times
- Quiet hours run from 11pm to 9am unless you change them
