WhatsApp number checker: find the typo in a lead's number before you message them
It reads how each number is written and never contacts WhatsApp, so nothing goes out from your number.
Up to 200 at a time. This checks how each number is written. It doesn't contact WhatsApp.
Paste a number or a list, and each one is checked here.
What happens when a lead's chat comes inPaste, check, fix
Paste up to 200 numbers, one on each line, the way they came in.
- 01Pick the country for numbers written without a country code, like 9123 4567 or 012-345 6789.
- 02Paste the numbers from your enquiry form, your spreadsheet or a chat.
- 03Fix the ones it flags, copy the clean list, or open a chat to see if a number has WhatsApp.
What it checks, and what it can't
It checks how a number is written. Whether the number has WhatsApp is WhatsApp's to say.
It adds the country code to numbers written the local way, and takes out the leading 0 that some countries drop.
It counts the digits. Singapore numbers have 8 after +65, so one short or one too many gets flagged.
It sorts Singapore numbers by range. IMDA's numbering plan keeps 8 and 9 for mobiles, 6 for fixed lines and 3 for internet phone numbers.
It can't see whether a number has WhatsApp. Open the chat link beside it, and WhatsApp opens the chat if the number has an account.
Why it doesn't look numbers up
Tools that check a whole list against WhatsApp have to do it from a WhatsApp account.
That account sends WhatsApp one lookup for every number on your list.
If the account is yours, those lookups go out from your number.
WhatsApp's help centre warns that linking through unofficial apps or websites "may put your account at risk".
So this checker stops at the format, and you open the chats you want to check one by one.
When the numbers come from enquiries
Palby AI Agent, which we make, takes the number from the chat itself, so nobody types it in.
- A new chat becomes a contact you can follow, with the number already on the card
- It asks your questions and fills in the details while it chats
- It never chases someone who didn't write back
- Broadcasts go out about 45 seconds apart, and stop words get caught
Questions
Open the chat link beside the number. WhatsApp's own help page says click to chat works for a number with an active WhatsApp account, so the chat opens if the number has one.
No. It reads how each number is written, here in your browser. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp or to us, and the person never knows you checked.
In full international format: the country code, then the number, with no 0 in front and no spaces, brackets or dashes. So 9123 4567 in Singapore becomes 6591234567.
It can't be a mobile. IMDA's plan keeps 6 for fixed lines, so the checker marks it as one. Open its chat link to see if it has WhatsApp.
Up to 200 at a time, and you can paste the next 200 as soon as you're done.
Yes. A number that starts with + or 00 is read as international. The length check covers the countries in the picker, and other numbers get the international limits of 7 to 15 digits.
Every number that passed, one per line, written +65 9123 4567 style, ready for a spreadsheet or a contact import.
Yes. There's no account to make, and you can use it as often as you like.
