Consent and PDPA
Know which customers said yes to your messages, and when.
Yes, no or not recorded, channel by channel, with the date and how. When someone asks whether a customer agreed, the answer is on the card.
30 minutes. You choose the day and the time.
- WhatsApp messagesNo since 14 Oct, they wrote stop, Her own messagePalby's own messages skip her
- EmailYes since 3 Sep, set by hand, Note: ticked the box on the open house registration sheet

PDPA
What PDPA asks before you message someone
A parent from two years ago writes "stop" in a chat on your phone. A month later a colleague sends her the new term's timetable, because the stop was in a chat nobody else could see.
01By hand
Record each customer's yes or no, channel by channel.
A parent at your open house ticks the box saying you may email her. Tap Email on her record, pick Yes and add a note on how. Palby adds the date and your name, so nobody has to remember to.
- WhatsApp messages, email and calls
- A note of up to 500 characters
- The date and your name, added for you
- EmailNot recorded
02Stop
When they write stop, the record says No.
Mrs Lim writes "stop" on WhatsApp. Once your WhatsApp number is linked, she's marked No for WhatsApp with the day it happened, and unsubscribe or remove me count the same way. An unsubscribe link in an email Palby sends does the same for email.
- Stop, unsubscribe, remove me and more
- Unsubscribe links mark email No
- Dated, with how it happened
- Siti Rahman, WhatsApp, 11:02pmstop
03Do not contact
Tick Do not contact, and every channel goes off.
Some customers ask you never to contact them again. Add a tick field called Do not contact, or bring that column in from your spreadsheet. Once it's ticked, every channel reads No, anything Palby sends on its own skips them, and they drop off your follow-up reminders. What you type yourself still sends.
- Every channel off with one tick
- Off your follow-up reminders
- Your own messages still send
- Do not contactA tick field on Renovation jobsTicked
04Before you send
See who you may message, before you send.
Before your Deepavali greetings go out, you want the list of who said yes. Filter any view by WhatsApp, email or call consent: Yes, No or Not recorded. Save it as a view, and next festive season it's one tap.
- Filter by each channel
- Yes, No or Not recorded
- Save it as a view
- FilterWhatsApp consent is YesYes, No or Not recorded
05If anyone asks
Answer 'when did they agree?' from the record.
Each change goes into the record's history, like "WhatsApp consent: No", with the date. When a customer asks what you hold, or why you messaged them, the answer is on the card.
- One history line per change
- Dated
- Beside the rest of the record
- Siti Rahman asksWhen did I say you could message me?
06Singapore
Keep your customers' records in Singapore.
Palby's database sits in Singapore. You choose who on your team sees each pipeline, you can download a pipeline as a spreadsheet, and you can delete a customer when they ask.
- A database in Singapore
- Your team sees only what you share
- Export a pipeline, or delete a customer

Small things that keep the record straight
Goes well with
Know who said yes before the next message goes out.
Start with the customers you'd message next festive season.
30 minutes. You choose the day and the time.
Before you message an old customer
Not sure you may still message an old customer?
That depends on what they agreed to, and it's your call. Not recorded is a state of its own, so you can filter those customers out, or ask them first.
No software can do that on its own. Palby CRM keeps the record: consent per channel with when and how, Do not contact on every send Palby starts, and the history of each change.
Not yet. Check numbers against the Registry yourself before you call or text someone who hasn't said yes.
Yes, and you'll find it on their record. You can download the pipeline as a spreadsheet, or delete the customer. There's no one-tap request form yet.
There's no public price for Palby CRM yet, so you'll get a price for your team on the walkthrough.
