Mid-project

Where consultants lose clients between projects

You're deep in one client's work. A referral calls, you say you'll ring back next week, and the proposal you sent last month goes unchased. The project ends, and the pipeline is empty. Each of those needed a date, and a list that shows it.

01A referral calls

Write down who sent them while you're still on the call.

Faizal was referred by an accountant you know. Make him a card while you talk, note who sent him and what he needs, and set the follow-up to Tomorrow. The note and the source stay on his record, so the call back starts where you left off.

  • The source kept on the card
  • Your notes on the record
  • Tomorrow, Next week or In a month, in one tap

02Proposal sent

Know which proposals are out and who to chase.

A proposal with a follow-up date turns up on Next activity due on that day, with how late it is once it's overdue. One with no date shows on No next step. Each deal has an amount and a close date, so you can see what's out in S$.

  • Overdue ones show how late
  • No next step for the ones with no date
  • An amount and a close date on each deal

03Between projects

Find the past clients who've gone quiet, before you need them.

Inactive over 30 days lists the clients you haven't written to, or heard from, in a month. Check it during a busy week and send a few notes, so next quarter starts with conversations, not a cold list.

  • Inactive over 30 days, ready on every pipeline
  • Follow-ups In 3 months or In a year
  • Any date field can remind you by email

Stages

Stages that follow a referral to a repeat client.

Pick Services and agencies when you start, and the board opens with Enquiry, Discovery call, Proposal sent, Negotiating, Won and Lost, and you can rename any of them. Past clients stay in Won, where Inactive over 30 days finds the quiet ones.
