The price you quoted last time, if you can find it

A customer asks for the same kitchen as her neighbour. You quote S$3,400. Daniel quoted the neighbour S$3,900 last month, from his own spreadsheet, and now they're comparing notes.

01The list

Keep one list of what you sell, with its price.

You sell the same dozen things on most jobs, like cabinets, countertops and tiles. Put each one on the pipeline's list with a name, a price and a category, and mark one inactive when you stop selling it. Anyone with manage access can change the list, and everyone else picks from it.

  • Name, price and category
  • Active or inactive
  • Manage access edits the list

02On the deal

Add products to a deal, and the total adds itself up.

Mrs Wong wants twelve feet of cabinets and a quartz top. On the deal, pick each product, or type one that isn't on the list, and set how many and any discount. Each line totals itself and the deal's value becomes the sum, so when you follow up on the quote, you quote the same number.

03Every job

Track every job from one customer, deal by deal.

Mrs Wong's kitchen in March leads to her bathroom in June. Give each job its own deal, open, won or lost, with its own close date and its own products, all on her one card.

  • Open, won or lost
  • A close date on each
  • Products on each deal

04At a glance

See what the open deals are worth, at a glance.

Before the month ends, you want to know what's still on the table. The summary above the board adds up the value of every open deal, next to your won rate and how many cards have gone stale, and the stale ones are the quotes to chase this week.
