Singapore public holidays 2027: the dates, the long weekends and when to follow up

Singapore has 11 public holidays in 2027, and five of them make a long weekend. Chinese New Year lands on a Saturday and Sunday. Here's every date from MOM, with when to send, when to chase and when to stay quiet.

When to set follow-ups around each 2027 holiday

Dates from the Ministry of Manpower's public holidays page (updated 19 June 2026), read on 2 November 2026.

Chinese New Year's two days make the total 11. Labour Day and Christmas both land on a Saturday, and MOM's page on public holiday entitlement and pay explains what that means for your staff.

The weeks your follow-ups stall

Customers don't stop needing things over a holiday. They stop answering. These are the weeks to plan around in 2027:

  • Late January to mid February. Chinese New Year lands on 6 and 7 February. The week before is busy with year-end shopping and reunion plans, and the week after is slow to restart. A quote sent on 4 February will probably wait.
  • The week of 10 March. Hari Raya Puasa falls on a Wednesday, and family visits carry on for days after, so expect slower replies from customers who celebrate it.
  • Two long weekends in May. Hari Raya Haji on Monday 17 May and Vesak Day on Thursday 20 May sit in the same week. It's a good week for a greeting and a poor week for a decision.
  • National Day weekend, 7 to 9 August. Three days off, with Monday as the holiday.
  • Late October to the end of December. Deepavali on 28 October, then year-end leave and Christmas on a Saturday. Business customers often settle next year's budget in November, or leave it for January.

When to send and when to chase

Three rules cover most of it.

  1. Send quotes early. When a decision has to land before a holiday, a quote that goes out a week ahead gets read, and one that goes out the day before gets parked.
  2. Chase on the first working day back. A follow-up set for the holiday itself lands on nobody's desk. Set it for the day after, at the start of the week.
  3. Greet on the day, or the evening before. A festive message works when it's for the festival. Our festive greetings pages have one for each, with the words people use.

Then two that sellers miss:

  • Watch the Thursday holidays. Vesak Day and Deepavali fall on Thursdays, so the Friday after is often a day of leave. Don't plan Friday calls around them.
  • Christmas on a Saturday leaves the week of 20 December short on people who can sign. Aim to have anything that has to close in 2027 done by Friday 17 December.

Set each follow-up for the first working day back

In Palby CRM, every customer has a follow-up date, and it's due when the date is today or earlier, in Singapore time. The quick dates are Tomorrow, Next week, In a month, In 3 months and In a year. For a long weekend, type the first working day back instead. The Next activity due view then shows everyone due that morning, so Tuesday 18 May starts with the quotes that waited over Hari Raya Haji.

For greetings, a Birthday field adds a Birthdays view that groups customers by the month of their birthday. Festivals are the same date for everyone, so use the list above and our festive greetings pages for those.
