Six moments
The six moments a to-do list usually slips
01The second you think of it
Write it down before it's gone.
Type "dentist fri 3pm" and it's on Friday at 3pm. No date yet? It waits in your Inbox until you give it one. Out of the house, send it as a Telegram message instead.
- Dates read from what you type
- An Inbox for anything without a day
- Or send it as a Telegram message
- Buy groceries for the weekToday
- Write the cover letterToday
02Opening the planner
See today's tasks, and only today's.
Today shows what's due and how many are left. Everything else waits in Upcoming until its day, so the list in front of you is one you can finish.
- Only what's due today
- A count of what's left
- Late tasks grouped at the top
- Buy groceries for the weekToday
- Write the cover letterToday
- Bins outToday 8:00pm
03The big job
Turn the big job into steps you can tick.
Moving house is one huge task until you split it. Make it a project, add steps like "book the van" and "redirect the post", and tick them off one at a time. The task above shows how many are done.
- Steps under any task
- Each step with its own date
- A count of what's done
Before
- Book the vanSat 3
- Redirect the postMon 5

04Getting started
Start a timer on one task. Just that one.
Open the task you keep putting off and start the timer from it. Twenty-five minutes is set for you, or pick 15. When it rings, take five minutes, then tap Done and it's off the list.
- 15, 25 or 50 minutes
- A 5-minute break after
- Done ticks the task off
Working on: Write the cover letter
05The appointment
Missed the reminder? It rings again.
Give the task a time and a reminder rings then. Switch on Keep reminding me and it rings three more times, five minutes apart.
- A reminder at the time you set
- Three more rings, five minutes apart
- Snooze it for an hour or to tomorrow
- Pay the electricity bill3:00 pm
Evening walk
Scheduled for today and not done yet, 5-day streak on the line.
And the rest
And the small stuff, so nothing slips
Goes well with
Write down the three things that matter today.
Put tomorrow's first task in, and leave the rest in Upcoming.

Questions
One you'll still open next week. Look for a list that shows today and hides the rest, takes a task in one line, and reminds you more than once. That's what Palby Planner is built around.
No. It's a planner: your list, your day and your reminders. For anything about ADHD itself, talk to a doctor.
Nothing breaks. Late tasks wait under Overdue at the top of Today, and Reschedule moves them all at once. A routine you forgot shows a missed dot you can fill in later.
No. Type tomorrow's first task and start there. Projects, labels and routines are there when you want them.
Yes. Connect it and your events sit beside your tasks, so you can see the free hour before you plan it.
Not yet. Palby Planner installs from your browser on iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows, and opens from its own icon like any other app.
