Where Fantastical is strong

Fantastical is a calendar first, and a very good one. It joins Google, Microsoft 365, Exchange, iCloud and CalDAV calendars in one view, shows Todoist tasks beside them, and runs on Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad, Vision Pro and watch. The basic version costs nothing. If you juggle calendar accounts, it fits better.

The three differences that matter

The list comes first

Tasks are typed in one line with their date, project and label. Today shows what is due, and late tasks wait at the top until you move them in two taps.

Your tasks go onto the hours

Drag a task onto the timetable beside your Google events and stretch it to fit. The time you plan can go back onto Google as busy.

Routines and habits come with it

Set a routine once and it shows on the days you pick, with a Telegram nudge if it slips. Habits keep a streak, and a 25-minute focus timer starts from any task.

Switching in three steps

  1. Book a 30-minute walkthrough and see your Google Calendar inside the planner.
  2. Connect Google Calendar and add this week's tasks.
  3. Keep Fantastical for your other calendars if you need them. The planner reads Google only.
