Free template for sales managers

Sales dashboard examples: the numbers to put on each, and a KPI template to copy

Eight sales dashboards, each with the question it answers and the five or six numbers it needs, plus a free KPI dashboard to fill in each week. Download it for Excel or Word, or copy it. Free, no sign-up.

A dashboard with thirty charts gets looked at once. The ones that stay open answer a single question each, like whether this week is on pace, which deals need a push or who needs a hand. Every example below is a list of numbers you can copy, and the template puts the ones most teams need on one page that you update on Monday and check again on Wednesday.

Eight dashboard examples, each answering one question your team asks

  • Rep dashboard

    "Is my week enough?"

Calls, meetings booked, proposals and deals against this week's target, and the rep's open pipeline.

  • Sales manager dashboard

"Who needs a hand this week?"

Each rep's calls and meetings against target, deals quiet for 14 days, the team's month so far.

  • Sales activity dashboard

    "Is the work happening?"

Calls, conversations, meetings booked and follow-ups, by day and by rep.

  • Pipeline dashboard

"What will close this month, and what's stuck?"

Open deals by stage, value and weighted value, deals with no next step, deals that went quiet.

    The pipeline template

  • Sales leaderboard dashboard

"Who's ahead, and who moved up?"

Points for calls, meetings and deals, each rep's rank, the most improved.

    The sales leaderboard template

  • Monthly revenue dashboard

    "Will we hit the month?"

Revenue closed against target, working days left, revenue a day needed, the weighted pipeline.

  • Real estate team dashboard

"Which listings and buyers need us this week?"

Viewings, offers made, offers accepted, new listings, deals closed.

  • Financial advisor dashboard

"Is this week's prospecting on pace?"

Appointments set, first meetings, closing meetings, new clients, referrals asked for.

Four rules for a dashboard your team will look at

Keep the numbers few, give each a target and read them on the same days every week.

  • One question per dashboard, written at the top
  • Activity numbers next to results, so a slow month shows up in week two
  • A target beside every number
  • Updated at the same time every week, like Friday at 4 pm

Look at it on Monday and Wednesday, not just at month end

Monday sets the week, and Wednesday is when you can still change it.

  • Monday: last week's numbers against target, and who needs a hand
  • Wednesday: this week so far, and one call with each rep who's behind
  • First Monday of the month: the rates for the last four weeks

A filled-in week: a team of six, two reps behind

A team of six in the week of 21 September, updated Friday at 4 pm, with a month's target of $200,000.

Revenue closed this month is $164,000 with 3 working days left, so the team needs $12,000 a day. Sam is behind on activity with 38 of 60 calls, Grace is behind on meetings with 2 of 5, and the deal to help close is Northgate Print, $12,000, with Priya.

The month adds up: $200,000 - $164,000 = $36,000 left, and over Monday 28, Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 September that's $12,000 a day.

Spend Monday coaching, not building the dashboard

The template is free. ActivityTracker, the app we make, is paid, and when your reps log calls and meetings in one tap, the week's rankings post to your team's group chat and each rep's check-in shows their numbers next to last week's targets.

  • Reps log calls and meetings on their phone, between meetings
  • At the end of the week, the rankings are posted in your team's group chat
  • Each rep's funnel shows the rate at every step, from what they log
