Free template for sales teams

Sales leaderboard template the middle of the team checks too

Points for the work, a rank for everyone, and a line for each rep who hit their own target, so the middle of the team has something to chase. Free for Excel and Google Sheets, no sign-up.

Most sales leaderboards rank revenue, so the same two reps win and the rest stop looking by week three. This one scores calls, meetings and proposals, resets every Monday, and names everyone who hit the target they agreed with you.

The rules

Every rep agrees a weekly target in points with you on Monday

Log it the same day. Anything added after Friday, 5 pm counts next week

Monday's team meeting names the top three, the most improved and everyone on target

The points only change at the start of a month, and the team hears first

See the sales leaderboard app

Name everyone who hit their own target

Agree a weekly target in points with each rep on Monday. The sheet adds up their points, ranks the team and marks who's on target.

  • Points for calls, meetings and proposals, not only deals
  • A target per rep, set with you
  • An Up by column for the most improved rep

A weekly board, so a slow start doesn't bury anyone

Reps add their numbers the same day. The board closes Friday at 5 pm and starts again on Monday.

  • Reps add their own numbers each day, or you do
  • Friday, 5 pm cut-off
  • Read out in Monday's team meeting

A filled-in week: the top three, the most improved and five on target

Week of 21 September, eight reps, points as above.
  1. 1.Priya: 62 calls, 6 booked, 5 held, 3 proposals, 1 deal = 130 points (target 120, on target, up 12)
  2. 2.Dan: 48, 4, 4, 4, 2 = 120 (target 110, on target, down 11)
  3. 3.Mei: 71, 5, 3, 2, 0 = 111 (target 100, on target, up 27: most improved)
  4. 4.Tom: 40, 3, 5, 3, 1 = 99 (target 90, on target)
  5. 5.Aisha: 55, 4, 2, 1, 0 = 82 (target 90)
  6. 6.Ravi: 30, 2, 3, 2, 1 = 71 (target 60, on target, up 25)
  7. 7.Sam: 35, 2, 1, 1, 0 = 51 (target 70)
  8. 8.Grace, six weeks in: 22, 1, 1, 0, 0 = 30 (target 40, up 12)

Monday's meeting names Priya, Dan and Mei, Mei again as most improved, and the five on target, Ravi included from sixth place.

The points add up: Priya's 62 + (6 x 3) + (5 x 5) + (3 x 5) + (1 x 10) = 130, and every other row the same way.

Four ways to run it when the same rep keeps winning

Keep the sheet and change what wins.

  • Most improved week

Rank on "Up by", not points

  • Target week

The prize is split between everyone who hits their target

  • Pairs

A senior rep and a newer one, points added together

  • Closing week

A deal is worth 25 in the month's last week

Stop typing everyone's numbers in on Friday

The template is free. ActivityTracker, the app we make, is paid, and its sales leaderboard fills itself in from what reps log.

  • The same points and ranks, filled in from each rep's log
  • Each rep's target sits next to their points, as on this sheet
  • A weekly rankings message in the team's group chat
