Self-care routine

Build a self-care routine in three small steps

Pick three things you'd do anyway. Skip a day and nothing breaks.

The three steps

Step one: pick three small things. Choose things you'd do anyway, or nearly. Tea counts.

Step two: tie them to something that already happens. After you brush your teeth. When you put the kettle on. When you get home.

Step three: when you skip a day, carry on the next day. You don't need to start again, because you never stopped. If a thing keeps getting skipped, swap it.

Common questions

How do I start a self-care routine?

Pick three small things and tie each one to something you already do. Start tomorrow with one of them if three feels like too many.

How long should it take?

A few minutes is fine. A routine you keep doing beats a long one you stop.

What if I miss days?

Carry on when you're back. There's no streak here to lose.
