ActivityTracker vs Zoho CRM

ActivityTracker vs Zoho CRM: set the CRM up yourself, or log the week from day one

Zoho CRM is a general CRM you shape to your business, free for up to three users. ActivityTracker comes set up for advisors who sell on WhatsApp, with the week counted from the first tap.

The short version

Pick Zoho CRM if you like building your own modules, layouts and workflows, or need policies and claims in the CRM, at a low price. Pick ActivityTracker if you'd rather start logging today, with WhatsApp chats on each client's record and the team's week counted. Some teams keep Zoho for policies and renewals and log the week in ActivityTracker.

Who should pick which

Stay with Zoho CRM if

  • you enjoy setting up your own fields, layouts and automations
  • you need policies, renewals and claims handled in the CRM
  • you want a free start for up to three users, or you already use other Zoho apps

Pick ActivityTracker if

  • you'd rather not build the advisor parts yourself
  • your clients message you on WhatsApp, on your own number
  • you want the team's calls and meetings counted each week without a report

Where Zoho CRM is strong

Zoho CRM is cheap to start and easy to grow: it's free for up to three users, paid editions started at S$17 per user a month when we read it from Singapore, and there's no contract. Zoho says 300K+ businesses use it and it connects to 1,000+ apps. Its insurance page shows renewal reminders, several policies on one client and claims routed to the right person, and its WhatsApp integration brings messages, templates and notifications into the CRM. If you like building your own CRM, Zoho fits. If Zoho CRM is more than you need, Zoho also sells Bigin, a simpler CRM for small businesses moving off spreadsheets.

The three differences that matter

Nothing to build first

Zoho says plainly that its CRM isn't an out-of-the-box insurance product, and that its insurance setup is a customisation. ActivityTracker comes with calls, sets, openings, closings and referrals ready, and each advisor logs from their phone on day one.

WhatsApp from your own number

Link the WhatsApp you already use the way WhatsApp Web does. Every chat lands on the client's record with their stage and your notes, and an AI agent answers new enquiries in your words.

The week counts itself

Each call and meeting is a tap, and it's points on the week's board. Anyone with nothing logged for seven days lands on the Gone quiet list, and Friday's check-in arrives with the numbers filled in.

Switching in three steps

  1. Upload the client spreadsheet you keep now, and one tap undoes it if anything looks wrong.
  2. Link your WhatsApp number by scanning the code under Linked devices.
  3. Invite the team and let them log from their phones.
