What does TOT mean in MDRT? Six times the MDRT figure

TOT, or Top of the Table, is MDRT's highest membership level, for advisors whose production in a year reaches six times the MDRT requirement.

How it's worked out

MDRT's Singapore table puts TOT at six times the MDRT figure, under every method. For 2027 membership, on business paid to you in 2026:

MethodMDRTTOT
CommissionS$75,800S$454,800
PremiumS$227,400S$1,364,400
IncomeS$131,300S$787,800

As with COT, the risk-protection rule stays at the MDRT level: S$37,900 of commission from risk-protection products before anything else counts.

Worked example, with made-up case sizes: at S$1,500 of first-year commission a case, S$454,800 is 304 cases, about 6 a week across 48 working weeks. At S$5,000 a case it's 91 cases, under 2 a week, which is why few people reach TOT by adding cases and most get there by writing bigger ones.

TOT dues are US$1,150: MDRT's US$600 plus US$550. A member with 10 years at TOT who falls short one year can apply under a TOT waiver, and still pays TOT dues.

Where it shows up in your week

At TOT the weekly number is small and each case is large, so one slipped case shows. The MDRT calculator shows the gap to TOT and what each week and month still needs.
