How it's worked out
MDRT gives each country one figure under each of three methods: commission, premium or income. You pick one method and reach its figure on business paid to you in one calendar year. For 2027 membership in Singapore, that's S$75,800 in commission, S$227,400 in premium or S$131,300 in income, paid to you between 1 January and 31 December 2026.
Two rules catch people out. At least half of a commission or premium total has to come from risk-protection products, such as life, critical illness and disability income. On the commission figure that's S$37,900. And you can't mix methods, so commission from one policy doesn't add to premium from another.
Worked example: say you've been paid S$40,000 of eligible commission by the end of September 2026. You're S$35,800 short, with about 13 weeks left. At S$1,500 of first-year commission a case, which is a made-up figure, so use your own, that's 24 more cases. That's about 2 a week.
Above MDRT sit two more levels. Court of the Table is three times the figure and Top of the Table is six times. The full rules, what counts and the deadlines are in the MDRT requirements guide.
Where it shows up in your week
MDRT is a year's number, and what you control is this week's share of it. The MDRT calculator shows your gap to MDRT, COT and TOT and what each week still needs.
