Your steps, from the first call to the deal
2% of your calls become deals
8 deals from 400 calls: 1 for every 50 calls.
| Step | Rate | 1 in |
|---|---|---|
| Calls to conversations | 25% | 4 |
| Conversations to meetings | 40% | 2.5 |
| Meetings to deals | 20% | 5 |
Your weakest step is meetings to deals, at 20%. Raise it 5 points to 25% and the same 400 calls make 10 deals.
Divide the number at each step by the number at the step before it.
The weakest step is the one with the lowest rate. A few points there add more deals than the same points anywhere else.
Made-up numbers, the ones the calculator opens on. Put them in and you'll get the same answer.
100 conversations from 400 calls is 25%, or 1 in 4.
40 meetings from 100 conversations is 40%.
8 deals from 40 meetings is 20%, the lowest rate, so that's the weakest step.
8 deals from 400 calls is 2%, 1 deal for every 50 calls. At 25% on the last step, the same calls make 10.
Rates swing so much by product, price and market that someone else's average tells you very little, so the number worth beating is your own.
The calculator is free. ActivityTracker, the app we make, is paid. Its funnel counts four steps, from appointment to deal, and you can't rename them yet.
Divide the number who reached a step by the number at the step before, then multiply by 100. 40 meetings from 100 conversations is 40%.
Win rate counts the deals you won out of the deals that finished. A conversion rate works at any step, from the first call on. The win rate calculator works out that one number.
Divide your calls by your deals. 400 calls and 8 deals is 50 calls a deal. To turn a goal for the year into calls a week, use the sales activity calculator.
There's no single number. It changes so much by product, price and market that an industry average won't tell you much. Your own last month is the number to beat.
The one with the lowest rate. Raising the lowest rate by 5 points adds more deals than raising any other step by 5 points.
Yes. Rename any step, add up to six, or take one out. You need at least two.
Each step counts the people who got there from the step above, so it can't have more. Count every step over the same month.
